Welcome to A Slice of (Homeschool)Life

Welcome to my K12 blog! I've spent many a day coming up with a catchy title for this little ol' blog. I've brainstormed and jotted down idea after idea. I've thought about how this homeschooling journey is one of rabbit trails, crooked paths, and circles, at times. I contemplated over the joy, the pain, the learning, the path of MORE resistance, and how we are pursuing excellence. I meditated on how much patience we need to walk this road, how my backbone needs to be pretty strong at times, and how I can provoke tears and smiles in my children, all in the same day - maybe even within the same hour. Furthermore, they can do the same to me! I look around and see the chores that need to be completed, the stack of papers on my desk, the piles of laundry on my bed, and think, maybe, just maybe, there might be others out there who are experiencing the same thoughts, feelings, emotions, and questions that I have. Perhaps someone would like to jump into my world and see our daily successes (and struggles!) and find camaraderie and support through our shared experiences. Finally, I thought someone would like to know that this choice of homeschooling has been one that we've never regretted, but often question. Is that wrong to admit?

Thus, the title, A Slice of (Homeschool)Life, seems to fit. My goal is to include you in our world of homeschooling...and I hope you'll include me in yours by sharing your thoughts, opinions, experiences, and whatever else seems fitting. I'll introduce you to my family over the days ahead, and I look forward to getting to know you better.

Until next time -

Sarah
